The American Association for University Women aims to use advocacy, education, and research to promote equity for girls and women throughout the country. Their network consists of almost 100,000 members with 1000 branches and 500 partner institutions in higher education.  AAUW not only offers fellowships, awards, and grants but in addition manages several leadership programs and administers their own Legal Advocacy Fund, working specifically against sex descrimination in the workplace and in higher education.
